Computer Lab & Printing

Is the computer lab open to the community?

Yes. Because we are a public institution, we have two public, stand-up computers that community members can use for a limited time.

As a community member, you are welcome to bring your computer, make use of our space, and browse our stacks of books and magazines. Also, be aware that only registered students may check-out library items and use the campus WiFi.

 

How do I print?

Centralia College uses a program called PaperCut. In order to sign into PaperCut, you will need to create an ID and password for your own personal PaperCut account. Please make sure you remember both ID and password, or write them down, because we are not able to reset them for you if you forget them! 

Then, to load money onto your PaperCut account, you may purchase a $5.00 print card from the vending machine located in the computer lab part of the library building. You can also get cards at the Bookstore or Trio. The vending machine takes cash only (quarters, $1, $5 & $10 bills) link to can library make change. Enter the code that is printed inside the print card to add the $5 amount to your PaperCut account. It will diminish little by little with each page you print. When you are ready to reload, keep the same ID and password, and simply add a new code from a new print card purchased from the vending machine.

 

What do I do when I can’t remember my printing password?

You’ll need to contact the IT Helpdesk. You can call them at 360-623-8910, email helpdesk@centralia.edu, or visit their office at WAH 201. Unfortunately, there is no immediate fix, so please take precautions to not forget your password.

 

Is there a color printer available?

Unfortunately there is no color printing on campus. Here are some local options for color printing: 

 

How do I sign in to the wifi?

Only registered students have access to the campus wifi. If you’re a student, follow these instructions from the IT Helpdesk

If you are not a student and need internet access, you may use our two stand-up public access computers in the computer lab.
